SanSwiss – Cadura Collection & Black Line Branding

SanSwiss (part of the Ronal Group) is a leading European manufacturer of high-quality shower enclosures and bathroom solutions. In 2019, Husarska Design Studio partnered with SanSwiss to create the Cadura premium line of shower enclosures, a project that merged product innovation with brand strategy. The collaboration began with in-depth company research and strategic workshops – including an inspiring expedition to Swiss ice caves – to immerse the design team in SanSwiss’s world and values. This research-driven approach influenced everything from the minimalist product design of Cadura (inspired by the forms and translucence of ice) to the development of the “Black Line” visual identity, a sub-brand featuring elegant matte-black hardware for modern interiors. The result was a holistic design solution that not only delivered an award-winning product line, but also a compelling brand story brought to life through film and imagery.

Strategic Research & Workshops

Husarska’s engagement began by diving deep into SanSwiss’s culture and market positioning through intensive research and collaborative strategy sessions. The design team conducted internal workshops and even journeyed to Switzerland for firsthand inspiration – exploring breathtaking ice caves to understand the essence of SanSwiss’s environment. This unique expedition helped the team absorb the company’s values and the natural context of water and ice, which later informed the Cadura design philosophy with soft, ice-inspired forms. These strategic workshops aligned SanSwiss’s corporate vision with tangible design goals and a clear creative direction for the project.

Product Design – Cadura Series

Guided by our research insights, we developed and positioned the Cadura line of premium shower enclosures with a focus on minimalist form and superior functionality. Drawing inspiration from ice formations, the design balances sharp, geometric lines with smooth, fluid transitions – much like ice’s solid exterior and melting core. Every detail was considered: from ergonomic handles and hinges (echoing the refined forms of ice) to hidden rollers that keep the expansive glass surfaces clean and unobstructed for easy maintenance. Husarska’s designers worked closely with SanSwiss engineers to integrate innovative features (such as new soft-close sliding mechanisms and enhanced sealing) that improve user experience and adaptability across diverse needs. The resulting Cadura series merges elegance with sustainability, using high-quality materials and water-conserving design elements to set new standards in bathroom innovation.

Brand Identity – “Black Line” Launch

In parallel with product development, Husarska crafted the Black Line visual identity as a compelling brand extension for Cadura’s debut and to group SanSwiss products into one designer category. Black Line is a design-led sub-brand defined by elegant matte-black fixtures and hardware, created to complement modern interior trends. Our team developed a cohesive brand strategy and narrative around Black Line – including a refreshed logo and graphic communication style – to position SanSwiss product’s family not just as a product, but as a statement of contemporary style. This involved defining the tone of voice and messaging for marketing materials, ensuring the minimalist yet bold aesthetic carried through all touchpoints of the Cadura launch.

Visual Communication & Catalogues

To support Cadura’s market introduction, we produced a suite of visual communication materials that vividly tell its story. Husarska’s design team created striking product catalogues and leaflets, blending crisp photography, realistic 3D renders, and concise copywriting to highlight Cadura’s features and benefits. We ensured that every brochure and technical sheet echoed the branding – from color schemes to typography – presenting a consistent, premium image to architects, retailers, and consumers. Additionally, we art-directed both lifestyle and studio photo shoots, showcasing the Cadura enclosures in real-world bathroom settings to help customers envision the product in their own spaces.

Corporate Movie & Photography

Capturing the spirit of the Cadura project on film was crucial for engaging storytelling. Panopticon Films, produced a high-end corporate video that narrates the Cadura journey – from alpine inspiration to final installation. This short movie combines cinematic footage of ice caves, design sketches, and the finished product to convey the innovation and passion behind Cadura. Alongside the film, Panopticon orchestrated creative photo shoots, delivering both lifestyle images and detailed product photography for use in catalogs, press, and online media. The combination of dynamic video and evocative imagery built an emotional connection with the audience, bringing the concept to life visually.

Market Debut on ISH 2019

The Cadura line premiered to the public at the ISH 2019 trade fair in Frankfurt, generating excitement and positive industry buzz. The collection was lauded for setting new benchmarks in comfort and style, with overwhelmingly positive feedback from resort clients and everyday users alike.
